Zoom saves local recordings as MP4 (video with audio), M4A (audio only), and TXT (Zoom's own chat transcript). For transcription, upload the MP4 or M4A file. Cloud recordings can be downloaded from the Zoom portal as MP4.
Yes. Speaker diarization automatically detects and labels each unique voice in the recording. For a typical Zoom call with 2–6 participants, speakers are labeled as Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc. throughout the transcript.
Yes. Google Meet recordings download as WebM; Teams recordings download as MP4. Both formats are supported - upload the file directly.
Files up to 2 GB are accepted. A typical 1-hour Zoom meeting recorded as MP4 at standard quality is around 300–500 MB - well within the limit.
